Reno Kids Invent A Way to Reduce Food Insecurity

The Nevada Independent published an article on April 8, 2023 about kids in Reno who are trying to raise awareness of food insecurity by developing an app that will likely be released around the end of the summer. The app will “connect users with farmers and other food producers who have leftovers that they would normally compost.” It is wonderful to hear this kind of news story about people coming up with solutions that get at systemic issues and especially wonderful that we see this leadership in young people.
